IMS Shock Technology
The core of this system is the Internal Monotube Shock (IMS). Unlike older twin-tube designs, the monotube allows for a larger piston, ensuring superior heat dissipation and more consistent dampening control, especially on long, corrugated roads. Coil Springs & Torsion Bars
To achieve a functional lift, the kit includes high-quality coil springs. We chose a constant load rating designed to support a bull bar and winch. The result is a substantial 2.5-inch lift that not only clears larger tyres but also levels out the Hilux's inherent nose-dive under braking, improving handling feel dramatically.
Leaf Springs & Shackles
The rear-end package comes with Dobinsons’ MRA leaf springs and greasable shackles. Our review unit was set up for a moderate touring load (canopy, drawers, extra fuel). This setup drastically improved the rear-end's ability to maintain ride height when loaded, eliminating the sag associated with the factory suspension under touring weight.
