SmartBar was established in 1996 when its then parent company, Team Poly, had a fleet of 39 water tank delivery trucks across Australia that were constantly being damaged by animal strikes. With the introduction of the SmartBar, truck immobilisation from animal strikes became a thing of the past and vehicle repair costs were significantly reduced for the company.
